CALL FOR CASES, POSTER & FORUM PRESENTATIONS

Attendees are invited to submit case summaries and poster abstracts for review and selection to be presented during SPD’s 37th Annual Meeting. There are four (4) categories:

CASES OF THE YEAR

The Annual Meeting "Cases of the Year" category includes cases with a known diagnosis, diseases that have proven difficult to diagnose, or cases presenting management challenges. These cases should have attendant teaching value. SPD asks all those interested in submitting a Case of the Year to first review the example presentation posted immediately below as it should help to provide guidelines and format for preparing a presentation if your case is selected by the committee. Please remember that representative photos (jpeg files) MUST be submitted at the time of application for Cases of the Year or the case will not be considered. Photos should be jpeg files and file sizes should be under 2MB. SPD will publish abstracts selected for presentation in meeting materials and will use text as submitted. Please ensure that all text is correct when submitted. SPD is unable to make corrections. Please gather all materials before continuing.

CASES IN SEARCH OF DIAGNOSIS

The Annual Meeting "Cases in Search of Diagnosis" category includes cases of children with skin diseases that have proven difficult to diagnose. When submitting photos or files with your case, please submit jpeg files and file sizes should be under 2MB. SPD will publish abstracts selected for presentation in meeting materials and will use text as submitted. Please ensure that all text is correct when submitted. SPD is unable to make corrections. Please gather all materials before continuing.

FELLOWS /JUNIOR FACULTY FORUM

The Annual Meeting "Fellows/Junior Faculty Forum" category includes basic science or clinical research projects, which may include case series of clinical interest with accompanying literature reviews, which have been conceived and/or conducted by pediatric dermatology fellows and/or junior faculty who have been out of training for 5 years or less. When submitting photos or files with your case, please submit jpeg files and file sizes should be under 2MD. SPD will publish abstracts selected for presentation in meeting materials and will use text as submitted. Please ensure that all text is correct when submitted. SPD is unable to make corrections. Please gather all materials before continuing.

POSTER PRESENTATIONS

The Annual Meeting "Poster Presentations" are limited to 40 posters. Awards will be presented for the best posters. Dimensions of the poster are not to exceed 4’ x 8’. Also, please note that SPD will request that accepted posters be submitted in PDF format, in addition to the paper poster displayed at the meeting.

*NEW FOR 2011* Three (3) of the Poster Presentations will be selected to give a 10-minute oral presentation during the Pediatric Dermatology Research Workshop which will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2011. If you would like for your Poster Presentation to be considered for one of the 3 slots, please be sure to indicate your interest on the submission page.
