Clinician Teacher - Pediatric Dermatologist Dept of Pediatrics
Job Description:
The Department of Pediatrics (UBC/BC Children’s Hospital) is seeking a pediatric dermatologist who is interested in a clinical academic career supporting the needs of children and youth with complex dermatological conditions. This is a clinical faculty position with the successful applicant expected to provide provincial leadership in clinical care, to be active in the education programs of the department and to support and contribute to clinical research and quality improvement.
BCCH is a 200 bed tertiary care children’s hospital, serving a population of almost 5 million. This is the only children’s hospital in the province and cares for the most acutely ill or injured children and youth and those with complex medical problems. UBC is a research-intensive university with the province’s only medical school located in distributed campuses and is home to more than 50,000 undergraduate, graduate and international students and 4000 faculty members within 12 faculties.
Qualifications:
You will have a Fellowship in Dermatology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (FRCPC) or equivalent, and subspecialty training and certification in Pediatric Dermatology. The successful candidate must be eligible to obtain a specialist’s license to practice in BC. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Position:
Pediatric dermatologist
Job Description:
The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Kentucky Medical Center is seeking a pediatric dermatologist to join our expanding 85 member pediatric faculty. Kentucky Childrens’ Hospital is part of the medical center and currently contains approximately 140 pediatric beds, including a 52 bed general inpatient unit, a 12 bed PICU, a 50 bed NICU, and a 24 bed newborn nursery; further expansion of our physical facilities is planned.
There are no pediatric dermatologists in the central or eastern Kentucky area, so the need is great. Responsibilities would include provision of dermatologic care to infants, children, and adolescents in the inpatient and outpatient settings and teaching of medical students and residents in our categorical pediatrics, internal medicine-pediatrics, and pediatrics-child psychiatry-adult psychiatry training programs. Opportunities for research and other scholarly activities also exist.
The city of Lexington, located in the Bluegrass region of central Kentucky within driving distance of 2/3 of the population of the United States, has a population of over 260,000, enjoys a moderate climate, and combines many of the amenities of a larger city (including a very active arts scene) with the charm of a smaller, university community.

Job Description:
The Departments of Pediatrics and Dermatology at Baylor College of Medicine and the Dermatology Service at Texas Children's Hospital are seeking a third full-time pediatric dermatologist. Texas Children's is the largest pediatric hospital in the U.S., ranked 4th nationally, with a diverse number of subspecialty clinics. Primary responsibilities include patient care in outpatient and inpatient settings at Texas Children's Hospital and teaching medical students and pediatric/dermatology residents. This is a wonderful opportunity to see an incredibly diverse number of patients in a thriving practice. Research and laser/surgery opportunities are also available. Job Description:
The University of Washington Departments of Pediatrics and Dermatology and Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center seek a Chief of Pediatric Dermatology.
The Chief will have a vision for building a world class division of pediatric dermatology that is excellent in clinical care, research, and education. There is a commitment to provide resources necessary to accomplish this goal. There is a sense that a minimum of 3 to 5 full time faculty will be needed to meet clinical demand. The position will be based at Children’s Hospital and Regional Medial Center – one of the nation’s top-ranked children’s hospitals.
The Division of Pediatric Dermatology is a division within the Department of Pediatrics. There is a collaborative relationship with the Department and University. Nine residents per year from the University rotate through the program. Typically, there are 3 inpatient consults per month. Clinical activity includes 14 general dermatology clinics per week, ½ day satellite clinic, 2 vascular anomalies clinics per month, 3 laser clinics per month, and 2 telederm clinics per month.
