SPD 2008 • Call for Case & Poster Presentations

Attendees are invited to submit case summaries and poster abstracts for review and selection to be presented during SPD’s 34th Annual Meeting in Snowbird, UT this July. There are four (4) categories and the submission deadline for each is June 1, 2008.

This category includes cases with a known diagnosis. It should have attendant teaching value. SPD asks all those interested in submitting a Case of the Year to first review the example presentation posted immediately below as it should help to provide guidelines and format for preparing a presentation if your case is selected by the committee.

Sample Case: MRSA Necrotizing Fasciitis in a Neonate (ppt)

This category includes cases of children with skin diseases that have proved difficult to diagnose.

Limited to 30 posters. Awards will be presented for the best posters. Dimensions of the poster are not to exceed 4’ (high) x 6’ (long).

This category includes basic science or clinical research projects, which may include case series of clinical interest with accompanying literature reviews, which have been conceived and/or conducted by pediatric dermatology fellows and/or junior faculty who have been out of training for 5 years or less. This category will be limited to 3 participants and will include an 8-minute presentation.

DEADLINE: June 1, 2008. You will be advised by June 15 if your case/poster is accepted.
