Address: 900 Winderley Place, Suite 1400
Contact Name: Jason Junker, Director of Physician Recruitment
Overview The Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children is seeking a dynamic and energetic fellowship-trained Pediatric Dermatologist to help grow our program. The Florida Center for Pediatric Dermatology is the only dermatology practice affiliated with our Walt Disney Pavilion. You would join with one other physician and a nurse practitioner with full staff support in a beautiful outpatient clinic. This is an employed, mostly outpatient clinical position with an active and expanding practice. The Florida Center for Pediatric Dermatology sees a wide variety of patients with congenital disorders, acne, alopecia, connective tissue disease, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and genodermatoses. Since we only work with newborns, children and young adults, we are able to focus on giving them the very best care possible, identifying the root cause of the problem and developing a plan of action. You would have access to an outpatient pediatric operating room, a pediatric sedation unit, and a Pulse Dye Laser, and our large clinic procedure room. The new physician would have the opportunity to develop his/her own niche and interest and be part of a growing program in association with one of the most exciting Children's Hospital affiliations with Walt Disney World. We have the full range of pediatric subspecialty support with a robust community outreach program and an effective referral pattern that extends statewide. Depending on the physician's interest, we also have research and teaching opportunities. In 2009, The University of Central Florida started their College of Medicine and in 2013, Florida Hospital began a general pediatric residency program. Requirements: Physician must be fellowship trained in pediatric dermatology and be board eligible or board certified through the American Board of Dermatology with subspecialty certification in Pediatric Dermatology. Practice Description This is an employment opportunity through Florida Hospital Medical Group, (website) a 350+ physician, multi-specialty organization. This model offers a highly competitive salary and benefits package that includes occurrence-based malpractice coverage, health insurance for the physician and his/her family, relocation expenses, paid leave days, a generous 403b retirement plan, CME days and a CME allowance. FHMG is a sister organization of Florida Hospital. This aligned model and practice management experience provides the opportunity for the physicians to focus on the clinical aspects of medicine.
