Job Description:
The Division of Dermatology, Children’s Specialty Group at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters (CHKD), Norfolk, Virginia, is seeking a second full-time pediatric dermatologist to join our full-time pediatric dermatologist and physician assistants. Responsibilities include outpatient care of infants, children, and adolescents at the hospital and satellite clinics, staffing in-patient consults, and teaching residents. CHKD is the largest free-standing children’s hospital on the East coast with all pediatric subspecialties represented. We teach dermatology and pediatric residents from Eastern Virginia Medical School and faculty appointment in the Departments of Dermatology and Pediatrics is offered with rank commensurate with experience. Children’s Specialty Group, PLLC, is a physician-owned pediatric multispecialty group with partnership track available, blending the best of both private practice and academia. We are approved by the ABD for a fellowship in Pediatric Dermatology. Our new dermatology clinic has a procedure room with a V-Beam Perfecta laser as well as a narrow-band UVB unit. We participate in a multi-disciplinary Vascular Anomalies Clinic. Opportunities and funding for clinical research are readily available. Applicants must be BC/BE in dermatology with additional training in pediatrics or pediatric dermatology preferred. Applicants must be eligible for medical licensure in Virginia.
